Custom Data Import & API Integration Development

Build a reviewed path from business spreadsheets and APIs into your application. I help scope mapping, validation, operator review and authenticated integration work for remote UK and US teams.

By Hasnain Qureshi / Karachi, working remotely with UK and US teams.

What the engagement can cover

I offer custom application work around CSV imports, API connections and operational dashboards. Scope can include a reviewed column mapping, required-field rules, a preview before writing records, unresolved-record review and permissions. The implementation depends on the source systems, destination rules and access your team can provide.

StageDeliverable to agree
DiscoverySource and destination inventory; identifiers; create/update policy
ValidationSchema, data types and business rules; useful error messages
ReviewPreview, conflicting-record decisions and operator ownership
ImplementationAuthenticated API/database integration, retry policy and logs
HandoffTests, runbook, accepted/rejected record reconciliation and ownership

Start with a concrete file and decision

Describe the source format, destination, approximate record volume and how often the import runs. Identify what should create a new record, update an existing one or wait for a human. Use synthetic examples when sharing an initial brief; do not put private credentials or customer exports in a public message.

Try the CSV Cleaner & Import Checker to prepare an example locally. It works without connecting to your systems. The mapping guide and conflicting-ID example show decisions we should agree before building automation.

Relevant engineering evidence

My ChatKnot case study documents React dashboards, authenticated Node.js/Express APIs, SQL application data and real-time workflows. Those are relevant engineering foundations for custom imports and integration work. This page offers a service; it does not claim a completed HubSpot migration or a customer result that is not documented.

I work from Karachi with remote UK and US teams, including London businesses. Meeting overlap, delivery milestones and support ownership are agreed for each engagement. I do not present a London or US office.

Boundaries to agree before development

File cleanup alone cannot establish destination identity, compliance, permissions or safe rollback. Agree access, backups, retention, rate limits and error recovery with the system owner. Supported platforms and data rules must be checked during scoping; there is no universal one-click connector implied here.

A small test import and reconciliation should precede a full run. If the job is a one-off cleanup, the free tool may be enough. If the operation repeats or affects live application data, discuss an explicit implementation and acceptance plan.

Discuss your import workflow

Share the current workflow, constraints and desired outcome. We can review scope and agree what needs implementation.
